Just for the record, because I’m sure it will change, this is what the TouArt.com home page currently looks like. The javascript menu slides in from the left and the random image is generated by PHP. I’m learning!

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009I have exercised almost every day since Christmas! I missed yesterday because I went to the hospital for a routine colonoscopy. I had one five years ago so I knew what to expect this time and it really wasn’t bad at all. Today I am fully recovered and back to doing my two hour elliptical routine so, yay.

Thursday, March 19th, 2009MOBILE, Ala. – A Circuit Court jury today found Lam Luong guilty of five counts of capital murder.
Luong, 38, tossed his four children off the Dauphin Island bridge on Jan. 7, 2008 in what prosecutors said was an act of revenge against his wife and other family members.
The panel took less than one hour to reach its verdict after closing arguments this morning.
Assistant District Attorney Jo Beth Murphree this morning told jurors that "sometimes there’s just evil."
"The father has betrayed his children," Murphee continued during closing arguments while pointing to Luong. "Bring him to justice."
Defense attorney Greg Hughes had asked the jury to find Luong guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter. Hughes said Luong was intoxicated that morning after a night of smoking crack cocaine and drinking alcohol.
His family "said he’s a good father," Hughes said. "Every one of them said he loved his kids … How did we get to where we are right now?"

Next Winter’s Firewood Cut!
Saturday, March 14th, 2009So, Alabama Power came in last week and trimmed back trees along the easement. Of course, I asked them to save me some firewood, which they did. I now have enough firewood to last through next winter except for cutting small branches to keep all these big pieces burning. Thank you, AL Power!
